The start to a sexy new series from New York Times bestselling author, Kendall Ryan…
She’s much too innocent for me, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting the sweet, young librarian. I’m dominating and possessive, and my control streak runs a mile wide.
The way she looks at me—like I’m one of the heroes in the books she loves, like I’m broken, and she wants to be the one to piece me back together—it only complicates things further. I’m nobody’s hero.
But there’s no denying my tragic past reads like one of her favorite literary classics. It’s raw. Visceral. Captivating. And together, we’re a perfect mess.
How am I expected to resist when the sexual sparks zap between us and set me on fire? The need to control, and claim her force my walls to come tumbling down, but when she learns my dirty little secret, will my world come crashing down with it?
The story continues in Dirty Little Promise, releasing October 30th.
A sultry pulse-pounding start to a fabulous new series from Kendall Ryan. Two hot brothers vying for our heroine’s affections? I think I died and went to heaven. Absolutely spellbinding, and I was hooked from the first page.
Lately, Kendall has been writing a lot of romcoms, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed her Soulmates series, however, this type of erotic suspense is where it’s at for me.
I could scarcely put this book down once I started it, and I finished it in record time.
I loved Gavin and Cooper and I swung back and forth over which I preferred. Gavin has that moody, broody bad boy act down pat, but he’s shielding his heart and we haven’t peeled back all his layers yet. Cooper was sexy but sweet, thoughtful and supportive, and I couldn’t help rooting for him either.
Emma was a great character. A sexy librarian with a chequered history with men and relationships in general. I loved how she pushed her boundaries and wanted to act outside her comfort zone.
There are lots of little things going on in the background that got me thinking, and I loved that. I had a suspicion which was confirmed with the cliffhanger and now I’m excited to see where the story is going next.
I do find sometimes with Kendall’s books that some of the minor details are a little overlooked and certain things don’t add up. I did find that here in little ways. I’m very picky like that though and most readers probably wouldn’t even notice. It didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment though as I think you can tell I LOVED this one.
Can’t wait for my next Kingsley fix. I really appreciate how Kendall works hard to release so quickly and she never leaves her readers waiting long. Thank you for that!
I also really enjoy her writing style, and she’s a very accomplished writer (and marketer) and an author I admire enormously.
In summary, an explosive start to a panty-melting new series. Highly Recommended.
Actual 4.5 stars. Thanks to the author and Inkslinger PR for providing an ARC of this book which I’m voluntarily reviewing.
