New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout delivers the unforgettable story of a woman whose new life has just begunโ€”but may end in murder . . .

Julia Hughes has always played it safe until she learned a very painful lesson. Now Juliaโ€™s starting over with a job in the Louisiana bayouโ€”and a scorching encounter with a stranger, only to discover heโ€™s Lucian de Vincent . . . her new employer. The de Vincent brothers share a massive fortune and a dark reputation. Julia cares for their troubled sister, but a menacing presence in the mansionโ€”and the ever-present temptation of Lucianโ€”prove dangerously distracting.

Lucianโ€™s grandmother claimed de Vincent men fall in love onceโ€”and hard. Apparently, itโ€™s Lucianโ€™s turn. Juliaโ€™s compassionate care of his twin makes Lucian want to lay himself bare. But some secrets are better for Julia not to know.

The recent โ€œsuicideโ€ of Lucianโ€™s father is the latest in a string of deaths on the estate. Someone is eliminating the de Vincents. And the best way to get to Lucian may be through Julia. . . .

My Review:
I’ve been really excited for this book, and this series, since Jennifer announced details of it. Sometimes, when you’re really hyped for a book it can feel like a letdown when you finally sit down to read it, but that was definitely not the case here. Moonlight Sins was everything I was hoping it would be and now I can hardly wait for the second instalment!

Jennifer’s writing style has always appealed to me in a massive way and the writing in this book is her signature style-full of witty batter, sizzling hot chemistry, and the words flowed beautifully across the pages of my Kindle. In this book, we have the added mystery and intrigue of what exactly is going on in the de Vincent house, and, while one of the mysteries was wrapped up here, there are still plenty of unanswered questions. At times, I wasn’t sure if this was going to turn paranormal (it didn’t) but it definitely has that vibe which has only piqued my curiosity further!

Lucian is swoonworthy in the extreme, and I just loved him from the very start, even if he is rude and abrupt at times. Julia was fantastic, and a strong MC. Gabe and Devlin are equally mysterious, hot, and snarky, and I can’t wait to read their stories!

Overall, this was a fantastic read and a fabulous start to a great new series from Jennifer. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily reviewing same. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
