Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can’t believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.
An epic ending for an epic series.
This book had so many awesome twists and turns and it was action-packed and fast paced from the get-go.
Katy and Daemon have been separated at the start of the novel, but the love he feels for Katy is so strong that it overcomes the natural pull of his own race and they find a way back to each other.
A united team, they are stronger as a couple than as individuals and in Opposition we really see how far they have grown and matured. The compelling, witty banter still exists, but they are both secure in their relationship and each other. It’s a joy to read.
Forced to form a tentative bond with their sworn enemies, they don’t only fight for their own future, but for the future of mankind.
The ending is perfect, though bittersweet. I’m not ready to say goodbye to Katy and Daemon yet, and just like when I finished the Covenent Series, I’m almost heartbroken.
Another incredible series from Jennifer L. Armetrout, and I loved it.
